Do you ever have those things you wish you did to be a more productive being, but don't.
I always think this about going running when the sun rises, but I guess I'll just take sunsets... I mean they are just as good, right?
This picture I took above anyway, is a beautiful sunrise I caught in Croatia a few years after a weekend of partying at a festival called Soundwave in Tisno (I mean I could go on about the love I have and all the memories I have in Croatia) but for now... it's the end of a heavy festival weekend, sunbathing, drinking and just really making some of my fondest memories.
In hindsight, the most sensible idea would've to just stay at the campsite another night but nevertheless we carried our bags to the party and subsequently tried to find a shelter to sleep in.
We literally couldn't find anywhere that would let us have a decent night sleep, but we found a literal rock by the water to base up for the night (I do sometimes wish I wasn't an optimist in these kind of situations)
Thoughts looking back on the situation:
-Sleeping on a rock isn't comfortable
-Terrible night sleep
-Pretty joke memory
Waking up to this can scrub away any negative emotions I felt from the bad back and post festival smell self, I woke up to.
Isn't there something so magical about sunrise, I still wish I woke up to feel and experience them more. Just the colours, shadows and feeling of the fresh morning air.
Isn't that what life should be about, those feelings of appreciation for the world you feel when the sun comes up (new starts) and an end to the day (a closure).
The appreciation of a start and a closure to the day, I mean we don't have to do it alongside a sunrise or sunset but it is such a good reminder.
This brings me to, Sun Worship
In so many cultures and even religions worshipping the sun is about respecting the source of life, doesn't it just seem obvious out of all the niggly things that may get you down in life just giving thanks and praise to the sun for its energy and life, nutrients for growth.
I just wish this was common practice, regardless of beliefs, I feel it is within every human to have moments in our life that remind us to give thanks for the simple things.
Well this was a ramble.
Love G x
